Oorah: FSCJ Graduates 2015!

The best event ~ Around Here ~ is among us.

As we approach graduation, there have been a number of graduates asking if we are going to have a gathering for our final oorah? I wanted to share with everyone that a few of us have decided to go to River City Brewing Company after graduation. We thought it would be a convenient location for everyone to drop by on there way out of graduation to say their final goodbyes.

Bring yourself, bring your children, bring your family, but leave your pets at home.

Eat dinner, have an appetizer, get a drink or just socialize!
We hope to see you ~Around Here~!

JDRF One Walk

I am doing an internship at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). I would like to personally invite you this weekend to join me for the JDRF One Walk, held this Saturday at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, from 8:00 am till 12:00 pm. You can register for the walk at If you raise $100.00 or more you will be given a JDRF t-shirt!  There will be food, bounce houses, face painting, music, and caricatures. Come enjoy a day filled with fun for the entire family and together we will make Type One, Type None!

With more than 200 JDRF Walks across the country each year, everyone has an opportunity to participate. And for those who can’t make their local JDRF Walk, or want to walk with someone who is some distance away, they can choose to walk virtually. You can also choose to start or join a team, walk alone or even volunteer.

Each year, JDRF Walk brings together more than 900,000 people to change the future for people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) by raising money for research. Many people who walk have T1D themselves, and many more are friends, family or coworkers of someone challenged by this disease. But no matter what their connection is, they walk because they believe in a world where T1D no longer exists—a world where Type One has become Type None.
